"To the illustrious Mr. Prof. Giosuè Carducci," writes a very respectful Giovanni Pascoli, then only a university student, with a difficult childhood to live thanks to a passion for study and literature. The sentence is the beginning of his task, the translation of a version from the Greek, as he explains immediately after: "Third job for the teaching school, school year 1880-81". There is also a half-deleted word and the signature, Giovanni Pascoli. Below, as was the custom at the time, the judgment written with blue pencil by Giosuè Carducci: "Very well." (VISIBLE IN THE PHOTOS) The people of Capolaterra, district of Desenzano, wanted to pay homage to the Poet with a commemorative plaque. right next to our apartment. The apartment located near Piazza Garibaldi is an authentic gem suitable for those who want to combine a practical and economical holiday with a pinch of history, although the furnishings and comfort of the structure are ultra-modern.
The holiday home is located near the best food shops, bars and restaurants, and is 250 meters from the train station and the same number from the splendid lakefront and its beaches. The two bathrooms both with shower (one hydromassage) will allow you not to feel cramped. The satellite TV with foreign channels, the induction cooker, the pans, the wifi, the safe and the air conditioning complete the description of this apartment that we could define as: "VERY GOOD". The master double bedroom is equipped with a large wardrobe. We look forward to hosting you in Desenzano, the capital of Lake Garda.
